Annual Assurance Statements

Updated

08 November 2019

We required each RSL and local authority to submit its first assurance statement to us by 31 October 2019. You can read the Annual Assurance Statements below.

These are landlords’ Assurance Statements, and we are publishing them without any regulatory comment. We will assess each Statement as part of our regulatory risk assessment and publish an engagement plan for each landlord at the end of March 2020. For Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) the engagement plan will include a “regulatory status” which will be our judgment on whether the RSL complies with regulatory standards and requirements.

  • We received Assurance Statements from 156 RSLs and 25 local authorities by the deadline.
  • We received Assurance Statements from One RSL and two local authorities after the deadline.
  • One RSL and five local authorities have not yet submitted their Annual Assurance Statements. We are engaging with them about the reason for and the timing of their late submissions.

These figures are as at 7 November 2019.
