About us and what we do

We are the independent regulator of social landlords in Scotland.

We regulate to protect the interests of tenants, people who are homeless, and others who use social landlords' services.

We do this by:

Gathering and publishing data in ways people can use

Our landlord reports let tenants find out about and compare how their landlord is doing, so they can hold it to account.

Getting assurance

Every social landlord needs to tell us whether it meets the standards and what it will do to fix it if it doesn't.

Our thematic work

We look in more detail at how well landlords do specific things. For example, how well they deliver their repairs service.

Using our legal powers

We will use our legal powers to act, if we need to, to protect the interests of tenants and service users.
